{ space tier+ } Part 3 progress update 06.05.24

heyo! been about a month since the last progress update, so it only makes sense to follow up on it in this post! i hope y'all have been well ^^

since the last post, i've been hard at work, and production on Part 3 has been going VERY well. compared to last time where i said i was only 14% done, i am now currently 53% finished with Part 3 as of this post! that's over half! in fact, it's probably even a bit more than that, but i just haven't done the calculation in some hours because i'm still editing as i'm writing this, lol. but, in that 53%, i have not only SECTION 1 finished, but SECTION 2 is now also entirely done, and SECTION 3 of 6 is even getting pretty damn close to completion, probably only needing another day or two at the most before it's completed! needless to say, the pace is now immensely faster than how long SECTION 1 took to do, and i'm still planning to keep it up for just a bit more. by comparison to the whole month SECTION 1 took, 2 took only 9-ish days, and it looks like 3 will also have taken about 8-9 days to work on, fitting since both 2 and 3 are roughly the same length in runtime...

SECTION 2 was the longest one of the video as well, so being able to knock that out in barely over a week has certainly raised my hopes of finishing Part 3 before the next chapters by a ton. it was a bit intense here and there visually, but i managed to get through it without too much trouble. SECTION 3 however, even when taking into account that it was only somewhat shorter than 2, has been a bit more intense for me, and i think it taking about the same amount of time has had more to do with the fact that i really underestimated just how much of SECTION 3 was going to warrant me switching to my "more intense" editing style to make sure some of the stuff i was talking about could be conveyed well enough visually, too. i don't think it was nearly to the extent i had to go for SECTION 1's entirety pretty much, but there are definitely some small bits where i could say it was getting there in intensity. thankfully though, i think i'm now finally pretty much out of the woods, and, i knew well in advance that SECTION 3 would probably be the worst of the dread i'd feel of working on a video this size; it's smack-dab in the middle of everything, it's got plenty of more elaborate bits that i had to edit , and i've never been so hyper-aware before this section of just how much i still have left to do. but, i've endured it, and now i'm getting scarily close to even finishing SECTION 3 within this week!!

SECTION 1 was on the shorter end, and 2 and 3 were both about the same length and were pretty damn long each. and, there's thankfully only one more section left that's at that length, so i'm especially feeling a lot better about being able to tackle what's left of this thing.

in fact, a small secret: i may already know roughly when this video is coming out now, just based on how long these first few sections have been taking. it's only an internal release date, because any number of factors could make it come out sooner, or more likely, later than i currently think it will. i'm not used to having such a confident timeframe of when a video will actually be done, but genuinely, it's starting to all come together now that i'm past the halfway point of editing this thing.

so, the plan going forward is: i'm going to hopefully wrap up SECTION 3 this week, and then next week, start right back up with SECTION 4. 4 is actually one of the much shorter sections of the video, so there may even be a chance that i finish it in the week that i start it, if not just barely past that, especially considering that i really cannot imagine how SECTION 4 could get very complicated visually speaking given what that one goes over, it's not nearly as esoteric/broad-scope as the ones before it, that's for sure ^^;; but once SECTIONS 1-4 are all done, i plan to take a more substantial break from editing Part 3 for at least a couple of weeks. if i've got the numbers right, the first 4 sections cover ~70% of Part 3's runtime. y'all do not know what 70% of Part 3 entails, that is A FUCKING LOT to get done in just a few months, i can say that much. i think that'll be a more than fitting point to take a break, since i'll not only need to make sure i'm not burning out in any way, and i especially don't wanna burn out for the last 2 sections of the video where things are gonna be overall ramping up again in intensity probably, but i also will want to use the break in editing to focus on...everything else surrounding Part 3. i still have plenty of components/assets that haven't been worked on yet that i will need to do before i can say the editing phase is fully complete, which include the moon/NULL tier secrets, my own secret stuff that i plan to add to the video, an original song that i want to use for Part 3, and of course, teaser material for when i'm able to start announcing stuff for Part 3 once more publicly.

i'll be updating more on star tier and above once i get further into this video and into the other components that i need to prepare for it, but i'm hoping that by the time i do my next space tier post specifically, that i'll be able to say that i'm back onto editing and that just about everything for Part 3, aside from SECTION 5, 6, and the outro, and maybe one more teaser thing, is fully prepared. again, things could pop up in the middle of it all that might delay stuff, i may get hung up on something that makes stuff take longer than i hope, who knows, but as it stands, the pace has been very good and i hope to keep this up for the rest of its production. as much as i'm excited to make this as good as i can make it, i can't lie, i'm ever so slightly reaching the point of really just wanting to move on from and be done with this behemoth of a project >v>;;

but, that's about all i've gotta say for now! i've been working pretty consistently, and i'll keeping it up for a bit more before i decide to take a more proper break and focus on literally anything other than video editing for a few weeks. i definitely will need it before i go into effectively the climax of this video...that part, i'm especially excited to finally do >:)

so, until the next one! as always, thank you for your patience and for supporting me for this long. genuinely, it means a lot that i can have some form of income coming in that's a bit more stable than adsense, i can feel the pressure of not uploading really weighing on me with each passing month, and i want this out as soon as i can possibly help it. if it kills me, you can bet if i'm promising a 3-part series, you're getting all 3 parts. at the rate i'm going, i think i'm only proving that ever more so.
