Lots of Zap and Andy Progress

Hey guys! This weekend I spent all my time working on Zap and Andy, so a LOT of stuff got changed and updated.

The game's scrolling system was replaced with a much smoother one. It's less accurate to older adventure games like Day of the Tentacle, but it looks better and makes camera sweeps a lot less jittery.

Bad endings now have a text box at the bottom that details what happened, and lets you know that the clock is being turned back. Bad endings still don't lead to a game over because I wanna encourage exploration and experimentation rather than punish it.

The save system received a massive mechanical overhaul that works well with Zap and Andy's unique drop down menus.

Also this weekend I worked with a tester to go over all parts of the game that exist and made some quality of life changes to make the game smoother and more enjoyable, including new and different hints, correcting some minor bugs, and making a few things a little easier.

For the rest of the month my agenda for Zap and Andy is to finish the last of the motel, have it tested, and add music and sound effect to it to make it ready to form a demo. If the testers playtime is the average, there will be over an hour of playable content in the demo. Making it a demo of both area 1 and 2 rather than just area 1 made it a lot meatier!

Zap and Andy takes priority for this month, but when working on SS&S, I'm gonna focus heavily on coding the story missions.
