Our hearts hurt for KrailertNaran. They honestly stole the show for us! We came for MileApo but we stayed for SonEuro. Even though TrinTanwa were endgame in the end, I feel like this show truly shined (pun intended) with KrailertNaran's story.
It was difficult to ship TrinTanwa for most of the show because Tanwa had so many things to confront before he could be a good partner for Trin. But I'm so glad the show gave him that space and that time to confront his trauma and his demons, to make peace with his mother's death and to reconcile with his father.
Overall super happy with how this show wrapped everything up. It wasn't a cookie cutter, happy ending with everything tied neatly in a bow. Some parts were heartbreaking and bittersweet. But I think that's what makes it so grounded and real. It highlights how difficult it was to be openly queer in this time period, especially in the political landscape they lived in. Sadly there are many who experienced a similar fate as KrailertNaran, unable to choose the life and the loves that they want.
This show was truly so much more than a BL. It was a proper LGBTQ+ story, with an important political message that's unfortunately incredibly relevant and relatable to our world today.
Looking forward to seeing what Be On Cloud comes out with next! I hope to see these cast members return in future projects!
