Late to comment but the two actors sang the theme songs in the series so you can kinda tell what their real voices sound like.

2023-11-16 01:06:15 +0000 UTCyahhhhhh it's really common in Chinese media apparently after doing some googling haha. There's so many dialects in China that they have to dub it for different regions. Sometimes it's also because when filming there's so much background noise and other things going on so the audio sounds better when it's dubbed. It's also cheaper to just dub the audio instead of buying expensive sound equipment to filter out the background noise. I think maybe dubbing happens so often for so many reasons that it's just become standard practice haha. But it would be so nice to actually hear the actual audio. Philip and I got like 20 episodes into The Untamed when we learned that we had never even heard the actual actor's voices because they have different actors dub them T_T

2023-10-17 01:19:15 +0000 UTCIt's dubbed. There are some extra scenes undubbed and it sounds so much better. I really don't know why they do this. I can't even watch series that are dubbed and translated in my language anymore, because it sounds weird.
