State of the mod! A look back at 2017 and a look forward at 2018

First of all I want to thank all of your for your support!

During the past year I've released 1 major updates, a few tiny one and started work on my next big update. As is tradition for me and a lot of other developers, my next update is bigger than I estimated it would be, and so has taken longer than I expected it would. This is mostly because as i make big changes I end up saying "oh I should update this OTHER thing over here to be more in line with the new changes". The holidays this past year really messed up my schedule for creative endeavors, so I'm going to try and have something ready by early February but i can't make that a promise. That's just my goal.


Here is what I already have implemented for the next update:

-A system to generate random NPCs

--The NPCs are given random jobs, hobbies, quirks, fetishes, and personalities.

--They will show up in places in the world based on their hobbies, and jobs

--A new area with some new shops where the new NPC's will hang out some of the time.

-I have half finished a rework of the comment system i made in the past. 

--The proxy now has different comments based on what their belly is composed of (fat, pregnant, stuffed, pregnant implant, or mixed). Of that list fat and stuffed is finished. 

--The comment system now addresses weight gain/loss, and has separate comments for proxy's who are just fat.

--Since I redid the trait system for the NPCs I also gave the same traits to proxy's. Their comments now reflect their traits.

--there is room with the trait system to add other body parts relatively easily(breasts/butts/penises/etc)

-As a patron reward I've created a new massage parlor in the redlight district. The only reason I haven't released it yet is because it is tied with a bunch of the new content and i don't want to have to cut it out to release it separately. 

--The massage parlor will have an option to funnel feed your character, it will also have services to remove unwanted fat related traits, or add them fro a cost.

-I've redone how the game handles contracts. Now the proxy wont leave just because they have 1 shit day. I think i will change it so that havign their mood drop below 0 enumerates a counter and if that counter goes up above a certain amount THEN they will leave.

--Also, when a proxy gets pissed and leaves, then they will be put into the list of NPCs and will still be able to be found in the world (and maybe hired back). After awhile of not interacting with them they will despawn still though.


I'm really happy with what I've made so far for this release, and I think you will be when you all get it. I still have stuff to finish though. Here is what i still have TODO:

-I still have a lot of the conversation engine to finish. The NPCs have traits and what not, but i still need to have a way for the player to interact with them. 

--I have the format for the conversations and the systems done, now it's just a matter of writing the content. I'm aiming to finish at least one conversation event each day. I also still need descriptions for most hobbies but they will require less work than the conversations themselves.

--I want to take a quick pass by the feeding system so that it takes advantage of the new traits (so that you will be able to feed the new NPC's and have their responses feel somewhat unique.)

-I still have some content to write for the massage parlor, but that is mostly done.
