Philip is my real life love story π
Added 2022-07-18 16:44:07 +0000 UTCSomeone asked us to do a video sharing the story of how Philip and I met. We'll most likely do a video about it someday but I just wanted to share my response here for anyone who's interested! π
Philip actually was a subscriber of this channel (before it was called BriPhilTV) and he use to comment every week on my reactions of "Gaya Sa Pelikula" which is a queer filipino boys love drama. This was the summer/fall of 2020. Every week he would gush with me in the comments about the show, and eventually by episode 5 we started DMing each other on twitter.
DMs quickly turned into talking every day, which lead to Zoom dates where we'd watch movies and tv shows together. Eventually we couldn't ignore the fact that we were developing feelings for each other and so we decided to make things official despite being scared of the long distance! (I'm from California and Philip lives in the Philippines).
And then, almost a year later we changed my channel to BriPhilTV and now we do reaction videos on the same channel where we met :)
Our bond and relationship started because of our shared love of queer/lgbtq boys love shows and that's why we've dedicated this channel to reacting to shows like that! :)
Philip is my real life love story. :') Just like the characters in all the shows that we love. July 24th, 2022 marks 1.5 years since we made things official!
We still haven't met each other in person but doing these YouTube videos as well as running our Patreon and our merch shop is helping us save up to do so. π
