This is EXACTLY how I'd hoped it would go! Lexi overhearing Cass' genuine honesty and concern is such a good decision, as it immediately ensures she knows beyond a doubt that Cass truly does care about her. Also, the way you draw Concerned Cass is just so good! Her apologizing feels like a big step, and even if it was to empty air- she did it! "I'm a chubby goth, not a knight in shining armor!" Brilliant line, and yet- she'd go just the same, butt slam and all, and that says a lot about who she is :) Cass is more a heroine than she knows, and I hope she learns it soon. Not every gal would spirit their crush/friend away from abusive parents or stand up to bullies for them!
