One of the rounds in this show is exactly the NYT's Connections daily puzzle. But Only Connect has been around way longer than the NYT puzzle. I would say it's hard to the point of not being very fun. It can still be entertaining but I'd prefer to play along, which I don't even bother to try anymore. It's also not a comedic show, just FYI. Might be a fun one-off though.
