Welcome to 2025! Congratulate yourself for surviving another year in this wacky timeline. That said, I must acknowledge the blessings of this past year. Overall, it was a solid year of growth in mind and spirit, while maintaining sound health of the body. I'm ever grateful for the privilege to center my life around creating art.
In 2024, I made a concerted effort to improve in anatomy, character design, and character animation. Having made much progress, I'm excited to exploit these skills, and continue expanding my toolset this year.
The year was also distinguished by steady development of Death Vapor, which was conceived roughly one year ago. This journey has vastly improved my knowledge of shmup design, and my abilities as a player. Having bounced around various gamedev projects prior, an uncertain start has fortuitously rooted into a real game of great potential. Now that the foundation has been laid, I aim to push the level design this year.
Another milestone was the opening of my Patreon shop at the beginning of last year. It's been surprisingly helpful in supplementing my subscriber base. I plan to continue regularly releasing new products, with the goal of doubling the earning potential by the end of the year.
I also wanted to note the addition of Micro Tutorials. This relatively new series of bite sized tutorials will continue as a standard portion of my content. Furthermore, increasingly more Micro Tuts will become exclusive for paid subs from the $3 tier on up. Public Micro Tuts will be early access to all paid subs from $1 on up.
To kick off the first month of 2025, the pixels will flow with the progression of ISOMECHS, continued development of Death Vapor, and a new Pixelblog feature!
