Working on a new boss design concept. The pods blast lasers and can move along the rails for all kinds of interesting patterns, while the main unit fires targeted bullets. I plan to break it down into phases, so you destroy each ring, then face off against the center hull at last.
We've also got all of the standard weapon systems and the various power levels integrated into a working build. Only showing off the spread shot and beam in the example, but the sword and streamers are also integrated.
Jouster enemy shoots a phalanx of projectiles straight down at offset speeds. Wait for the gap, or steer wide in the clear.
More projectiles! I've already designed 18 varieties, and I'm sure there will be more. It is a bullet hell after all.
Background graphics and enemy units are currently being implemented into the game. Should be some exciting progress by the next Devlog. Until then, I must focus my ponies on Pixelblog 50, due at the end of the month. Stay tuned!
