Consider these free as a resource, whether as inspiration or the images themselves as backgrounds for illustrations or morphs. I was attempting to make a bunch of off-brand “whimsical factory” setting with some light steampunk influence. I feel like they might be just a tad too industrial, but I personally don’t think I mind it. Lots of room for rolling in many of them just saying.
I feel like THIS is sort of the purpose of this dumb technology. Like if I focus on the subjects, it’s great to pair it with a very detailed, intricate setting (so long as it’s not specifically lifting from any other artists).
And because I guess two other posts where I talk about AI art at length weren’t clear enough, please know I don’t use this tech ‘proudly.’ I’m not out here trying to evangelize for it. I just don’t foresee us getting the toothpaste back in the tube & don’t see the value in hamstringing myself from helpful tools either. I go out of my way to try to use it as ethically as one can, where I am not using it to directly cop anyone’s style, pieces, or even trying to make it look too much like specific real life people, & primarily use it for things like backgrounds & concepts, compositional/pose inspiration; for things I will later go back & redraw myself. And while I forgot to initially tag this post ‘Public’ as such, I post all of the solely AI results (stuff I don’t draw over) freely. I’m not precious about it & squirreling the results I get behind a pay wall. No it is what it is. Not ‘art‘ but something artists can still use to help expand their visual libraries & create better organic art, for lack of a better term. And if other creators might be able to find value out of some of the conceptual stuff no one else would otherwise see, then I feel justified in sharing said results. I get that might still be somewhat disappointing & that’s perfectly acceptable, but at the same time, please don’t mischaracterize my stance as something other than that.
