Hyper Echelon - 8

Hey folks. Sorry, forgot to post an update last week. I was totally absorbed with writing the story for Hyper Echelon. I will still post another update later this week.

As I said, it's pretty much down to the story segments from now, so there won't be much new graphics to show anymore. I have finished writing the first draft of all 19 dialogue sequences. It's in a polished state, I'm just deciding where maybe more, or less information should be, and small wording changes.

*Spoiler alert! In this update, I will share the script from one of dialogue scenes.  The following scene takes place after beating the 1st stage for the first time. The above image previews the characters and setting of the scene.

Asteroids exit (meeting Trex)

Suri: Hold your fire, Taz! Non-hostile spacecraft at 12 O’clock.
Taz:  (Pulls up beside Trex) Whoa, check out the green machine.
Trex: Don’t shoot! Unless you want to meet your maker.
Taz:  Take it easy, lizard face.
Trex: You test my genteel nature with such slander.
Suri: Please pardon my squadmate, he’s not the most gracious diplomat.
But, you are in an RSF no fly zone. Explain yourself!
Trex: I am a Tokagen. We don’t believe in boundaries.
Suri:   A Tokagen? I remember learning about your people in school, but I thought it was just a legend.   
Taz: Never heard of ‘em. Are you telling me this geezer is a legend?
Suri: The Tokagen are a space faring nomadic society. Centuries ago, their ancestors set out to explore the stars beyond their homeworld, Virdune. They traveled so long and far until none of them could remember the way back home.
Trex:  So the story goes...
The only home I’ve ever known is the vast space between the stars. Yet, a yearning for Virdune still lingers in the hearts of all Tokagen.
Deep down, I know my people will reunite with the motherland someday.
Taz: That’s nice, but you’re still breaking our laws. What are you doing here?   
Trex: The metal demons came suddenly, wiping out my clanmates. I’ve been searching for other clans, but for all I know, I may be the last Tokagen.
All I have left is my vengeance. I will fight the metal demons to the death.  
Suri: You must be talking about the EXODON. Looks like we have a shared enemy.  
Won’t you join us?
Taz: Are you sure about this guy, Suri?
Suri: The Tokagen are great warriors. If we stand a chance against the EXODON, we’re going to need all the help we can get.
Trex: A Tokagen without his clan is worse than death. I will join you!
Suri:  It’s settled then.
Taz: Whatever.
(All members fly off screen together)
