Added 2021-06-05 14:33:54 +0000 UTCIn this piece we revisit a location from an earlier scene, however, an evil presence has arrived. To capture a foreboding mood I first went with surreal orange lighting and beat up the temple a bit. I was then directed to destroy the temple more and more, until the idea changed to have it completely destroyed, and present the enemy threat. The orange colors still felt a bit too happy, and didn't mesh well with the other pieces, so I made a dramatic palette swap and tweaked the lighting to make the mecha more ominous. Although the location was already designed in a previous piece, it was more tedious to rework than start from scratch. It required hours of color picking and playing with values, but I did have a lot of fun designing the mecha.
