Heya! Time for another little dev update. I've been hard at work on the intro this week, as you can see I have some new scenes to show off. This is the continuation after the titan takes off, however, there is a short clip of the Titan flying from sideview just before this scene. Still needs a little tuning with timing but it's coming together nicely. The basic plan from this point is to show off some of the Titan's weapons as Taz destroys all the invaders. I'm trying to sync the animation to a score we already have complete, but I think it's more efficient to create the animation first, then create music for it. Unfortunately, we didn't have the intro complete when we produced the soundtrack, so I gotta do it the other way around and make the best of it.
Other significant work of recent is rebalancing of the levels, with a focus on slightly reducing the overall length of the levels in order to improve replayability. With the objective based system and grinding for upgrades you will need to replay the levels many times, so it's critical they always flow with consistent action and every section of the level feels unique and meaningful. I think we're about there, but surprisingly still finding ways to improve the design. Can't wait to attempt a full organic playthrough after this round of revisions!
