2019-10-15 05:07:33 +0000 UTCOh man, if Penny’s only making those hunger waves stronger as time goes on, 10 pounds every 5 days might turn to every 4, then 3, 2,1... If what they’re saying is true with it fucking up your metabolism and hunger long term, Rachel sounds like she’s really in for thick times. Maybe she should take the “photo a day” challenge to keep track of her growth. And pass that challenge onto Holly, cause no doubt she’s about to start ballooning outward in weight with no restraint like that. But gosshhh, if we reach a point later in the story at another conspiracy meeting? And while Rachel’s eating away, Fran points out much to her wife eyed horror she’s swelled up to be bigger than the 3 of them? Even though they’ve gotten fatter too?? Yet she can’t stop eating? That’d be so cute. Bottom line I can’t wait till Rachel realizes that Holly puts the enormous into Enormous Disadvantage I’m keeping that weight off.

As far as Holly? And turning up the intensity of the hunger vibrations? I guess now I can kind of point out that was what Penny's veiled threat was in the elevator. I think she surmised that's what she was going to do way back in her little "observation/check up" scene back when they both were drunk & fell asleep on the couch. Since Rachel won't get the app herself, Penny was basically alluding to tweaking Holly's more & more to try & reach Rachel. But what that means for poor Holly? Well, you're witnessing it. And while it was sort of blink & you miss it/probably not done with the justice I hoped, I personally like the exchange with Rachel: "Ah-ha then why are we hungry RIGHT NOW?!" Fran: "Because it's dinnertime." Nodding more to the fact that while they might try to avoid it all they want, they're going to have to eat at some point. And sure, there probably could've been lots of places to meet that would've been way healthier for them. But A) the healthier places are probably more upscale & more likely to maybe have a Bellflower resident with the app listening in & B) (more importantly) it's a fine excuse every now & again to indulge. Like Marissa with her "cheat day!" Heck, Fran went so far as to have Bacon. And a bunch of fries she hadn't originally intended... All that weight's gotta creep on somehow.

When Rachel blasted her music I was honestly half expecting Penny to do the equivalent of shrugging her shoulders and going “If you shall turn up your sound, then so shall *I*” and doubling the intensity of the hunger vibrations, since Rachel couldn’t hear over the music.

2019-08-13 18:35:50 +0000 UTCFran is right for Rachel, 10 pounds does look good on her! And just like the doubling in mass for the tenants, she’ll only look exponentially better with every added 10! If her 10 pounds every 5 days math is right, just imagine how pretty she’ll be in 2 months time when she’s gained her first full 100! But wow, move over Glados and Hal9000, there’s a new AI in town. Her name’s Penny and she’s taking advantage of humanity biggest weakness: late stage capitalist economic disparity, eeek! Holly was adorkable taking such a gluttonous tailspin the moment Rachel leaves the house. Shows perfectly why Rachel really can’t just up and leave worrying about her sister too. And nothing ironic about conspiring over someone trying to fatten you up while eating, of course. So excited knowing things are gonna start ramping up soon!
