Game Mockup - 2 (WIP4)
Added 2018-09-28 17:03:54 +0000 UTCI'm treating you to yet another bonus WIP post this month! I started making the title screen but the idea was too complex and I didn't feel confident I could properly execute it in time. So you get a whole new scene to tease your imagination.
The island first appears like a typical tropical setting but its geography becomes quite diverse as you trek into the interior. Here we see a transition from the dry sandy area to a gentle forest, which will gradually become more dense and wild. Also we get our first glimpse of a mysterious inhabitant of the island. Apparently, there is some form of civilization on this rock, if you want to call it that. That should give a castaway some hope, but I don't think these creeps are going to welcome you.
Here's a WIP of the title screen. My idea is to make the letters look like they are chiseled out of rock and create an entire scene around them. You will have control of your character and can interact with the scene. There will be caves or pathways you enter to make a selection. To make it fun I want to make a very rich scene with lots of little secret things to interact with. So like I said, not enough time to pull off such a vision, as this is only the rough letters, which still need some work on the basic style.
This will be the last WIP for now and on to a new mockup next week. I'll make some condensed public posts soon, but I'll probably keep some screens and the inside details exclusive to Patrons. Just want to let you know your special to me:) If any of these ideas officially go into development you'll be the first to know!
