Mondo - 2 (WIP1)
Added 2018-05-11 13:41:10 +0000 UTCOkay, let's jump into a new Mondo scene! This time I'm capturing a slice of school life with a fairly accurate depiction of the junior high school I taught at. While I rotated to a few different schools throughout the years most of my time was spent here and I became quite fond of the faculty, students, and the property itself. When all the teachers are obligated to help clean and maintain the school, one develops a sense of pride in the workplace. Well, I mostly goofed off with the kids during cleaning time, but I could really appreciate the custom.
Second time around is going a lot smoother now that I've established the style properties and have many assets to build from. I have almost finished the main school building already. The composition isn't much to look at though, as I'm still blocking out the main structures and just kind of throwing things together at the moment. I plan on adding a lot more details and some fantasy elements to help liven up the scene. Japanese schools are usually pretty plain concrete structures, however the energy of the learning atmosphere and the memories made there are what gives them charm. I hope to capture that charm in the details. Stay tuned!
