Palette - Mondo

Download

Full tutorial on the creation of this palette.

.aco file can be loaded into the swatch panel in Photoshop.
.ase file can be loaded into Aseprite, Illustrator and some other Adobe programs.
.png file can be opened in just about any graphics software. I know Aseprite and Pyxel Edit allow you to import a palette from a png image, and I'm sure many other apps have the same feature.

Good choice! Lots of community support, nice animation tools, and a full tile editor is in the works.

I ended up buying Aseprite yesterday and I am enjoying it. GIMP is definitely nice, but it has too much going on for a simple beginner such as me. I can see myself using it more later on once I have garnered more experience.

Chris Downey

I've never used GIMP, but like many pixel editors I think you can generate the palette by importing an image file. Anyway, I'm glad you got it figured out the trusty manual way. Have fun!

This palette is great, thank you. I couldn't figure out how to convert it to .gpl for GIMP, but I was able to use the image to manually make my own palette with the color picker. Well worth the extra time!

The ase file should also be working now.

No problem. Glad you caught that. Have fun with the palette. It might take a while to get used to but with patience you can pull some really nice schemes out of it. I've been using it for a lot of my personal stuff lately. I'll be sharing more of my palettes soon!

I just did this. Thank you.

I thought those ase files worked but you are right, I get the same error. Looks like you can load the png file and it should work.

Hello Slynyrd, thanks for sharing the palette. I'm getting an error when I try to load the palette on Aseprite v1.2.7.3-x64. There's a fix for it?

Ricardo Juchem

Blog about how I made the palette coming Tuesday.

Nice share!!!!
