Beach Update Status Report

I wanted to get a post in before the end of the month, but this time I'd like to go into more depth and transparency on the current state of things. I'll describe the above scene at the end because it's a little crazy.

I'll cut to the chase: The beach update's taking a lot longer than I meant for it to. I was just gonna do some fan service, show everyone in their bikinis, do some fun stuff with that, move on. I literally got everything else in the update almost completely done first because I thought the beach scene was gonna be the EASY part, so I was saving it for last. I coded the entire second half of the game with a new structure I developed and that somehow ended up being the easy part 😅

The Patreon commission polls have played a role. In particular, I made the Kelly hand job ocean commission (not my favorite thing I've made but easily the highest-effort seamless loop I've ever done), and also spent forever building that goddamn beach environment, and I guess something started to shift. I wanted to do more. Then I learned about jiggle physics, and decided to put a lot more effort into the beach sequence than initially intended.

Now the beach update is shaping up to be the most visually interesting and memorable event in LLRR by a notable margin (especially if you romanced all 3 heroines, because you're seeing each of their scenes basically back-to-back). It's certainly the most animation-dense event in the game, and that'll probably remain true even after the game is completed.

So I am sorry it's taking so long. But I also think this update will be pretty fuckin' fun.

In any case, I'd like to be completely transparent about what is done and what still needs to be done.

Imagery/Animations

Kelly Teasing: 100%

Julie Teasing: 100%

Amy Teasing: ~50% (should be 100% in a day or two)

Sex scenes: ~60-70% for each of them

General Scenes: ~90%

Stella Stuff: ~50% (should be easy)

Writing in general: ~25% (should mostly be easy)

Usually I'd be done with the writing by now, but I guess this time around I wanted to do more of the visuals first. In any case, the writing is WAY easier and faster than the visuals, so I'm not nervous about that part at all. I at least have a plan for how everything plays out, so the visuals will plug in properly.

The sex scenes technically ALL have enough content that I could, you know, coast on what I have and just do something quick. But I don't wanna, I want to do more for each of them and really make each scene feel complete, even if the beach sex scenes are ultimately gonna be shorter than the camping trip sex scenes.

The one thing I haven't settled on yet is whether or not Stella and Flin have sex on this trip. I'm kinda just letting it all play out as I write it, and if it feels like there's an organic moment (and I feel like doing it) then maybe I'll do a little something. The "pure Stella" version of the beach scene will definitely be a lot shorter than a version where you're romancing everyone.

Other things

The non-beach stuff hasn't progressed at all, unless you count the addition of new general-use sex animations for Amy and Julie. But there isn't much to do there. I still need to work in the Samantha texting events and I need to plug in all the generic sex sequence stuff, but that is all easy.

And once that's all done, the beach update will be ready.

Current Amy Scene (Above)

Alright, so yesterday morning I was like "Hmm, I still don't know what I want Amy and Flin to do for their 'pre-sex' teaser scene." I started thinking about various things you do at the beach, and I thought about sand castles, then about burying people in the sand...so from there, I thought "Hmm, what if Amy and Flin were buried in the sand together and were like, feeling each other up while frozen in place under the sand?" But that didn't make enough sense to me, namely because I just doubt Stella would bury her boyfriend and her sister side-by-side like that.

So instead, I thought, "what if Stella is the one being buried in the sand?" The above shot captures a kinda fun energy: Two people, doing something completely innocent and fun, are effectively locking a third person in place so that they can do things that aren't at all innocent (but definitely fun).

After burying Stella completely up to her neck in sand, as she lays there and basks in the sensation, her sister goes to grab an umbrella...and a sleep mask (those blindfold things you wear while sleeping). The umbrella hides them from view as Flin kisses Stella, and Stella enjoys this sensation of being blindfolded while being randomly kissed by her boyfriend. How nice!

But of course, Amy has deeper plans. She asks Stella to talk about something she'll go on and on about, and while she does so, Amy kisses Flin. The two of them silently make out right next to Stella, with Flin occasionally breaking free to kiss Stella too, or to respond to what she's saying.

This kind of scene is outside the norm of what I usually do, because I don't usually like directly incorporating a third person into intimate moments. It's also somehow more of a "man-whore" vibe for Flin than the actual cheating sex scenes are 😂, with him going back-and-forth making out with two people at once. But...with Stella blindfolded and unaware to what's going on, I admit it sounds pretty fun.

In any case, as tempted as they'll be, Amy and Flin aren't gonna fuck right there. That'll happen later when they are truly alone. But they are gonna make out aggressively.

So yeah, that's what I'm working on right now. I also developed something last night for this scene that should be pretty awesome and groundbreaking, but WE'LL SEE. More soon.
