I took the lyrics I wrote for LLRR's theme song "Training to be a Rockstar" and had an AI generate music to them for fun

I wrote the lyrics, but that's all. This song is otherwise completely AI-generated.
And THIS IS JUST FOR FUN, I'm not going to use it, even if it does sound pretty cool.

A while back I wrote a "main theme" for Love, Lust, and Rock 'n Roll, called "Training to be a Rockstar." It's the song that plays when you're sitting in the main menu. That song, I wrote from scratch. And I wrote lyrics for it, which are what you're hearing here.

The current plan is to record myself singing those lyrics, which will play during the game's epilogue. Of course, that song will sound completely different from the above AI-generated one.

The other night, I stumbled on an AI song website and decided to play around with it. I plugged in my lyrics, told it to give me a rock song in a minor key, and I was...astonished at the quality. I had no idea AI music had reached this point already.
It does have some janky elements, like how it interprets the chorus 3 different ways, and I don't exactly imagine young Flin sounding like Nickelback 😂.

But still, I was blown away and found it pretty impressive, so I wanted to share.

Like I said, I'm not going to use this. The website I used is Udio, and I'm convinced they trained their data on copyrighted music. I don't mind sharing something like this in a free Patreon post, but I don't want to actually put it in my game.
Moreover, while I'm willing to use AI tools to have fun and to see where the tech is at, I always reach the same conclusion that these tools provide an initial "rush" of fun but are ultimately extremely unsatisfying to get used to. I know you guys are mainly here for the eroticism and probably don't care that much when it comes to the music, but I still want the music I share with you to be stuff I made. And I'm not gonna pretend like me hitting "generate" means I made this 😅.

I think AI music is a decent source of inspiration, like generating something and going "oh, I like that chord progression or that melody, or how that verse leads into the chorus, let's try to recreate something like it in my DAW." Much like using AI art as concept art and nothing more.

I debated whether or not to even share this, because I think if you eventually hear me singing the original song, you'll be like "dang, the AI version was way better" but whatever, I still think this is entertaining for what it is and thought you'd get a kick out of it.

I may try incorporating a few of the elements of this song into my original version; I particularly like how it interpreted the music at 1:40, just after the bridge.

Status Report:

Also, let's tag a status report onto the bottom of this. I'm still working through the beach update, but I made some huge strides the last two months and I'm nearing the point where I can say "all the hard stuff's done." I'm getting more and more excited and motivated to push forward; I'll admit that the beach scene keeps growing in content beyond what I initially expected but I've decided fuck it, let's make it really fun. Some of the stuff I've been working on will also wind up making the final update go a little quicker.
