Never enough boob grabs

They're a pain in the ass, but there are never enough.

This one turned out pretty good in my opinion, and it's thanks to my latest in "boob grab technology" 😅.

First, a brief history of the techniques I tried:
To start, I tried morphing the breast on the original 3D model to billow out between the fingers.

Sometimes this looked okay, but it was fucking tedious, and never looked great. There isn't enough density to get the skin to pillow between every finger, and even if there was, it would be a nightmare. If you've ever wondered why all the 3D visual novel games out there never seem to have particularly intense boob grabs, I assure you, this is why.

Next, I tried morphing the breast a LITTLE but would largely draw the lines I needed in Gimp:

This was much faster AND much better-looking, so I was pretty stoked about it at the time. However, I am not a particularly great 2D artist. This technique works fine when you're looking at the curves from the side, but when the finger is digging in at more of a "straight-on" view (like the pinky in the above image), I struggle to draw the right curves for that. Yes, I try to practice, and yes, I try to find good references. It's tough.

Anyway, my latest technique reverted back to 3D modeling:

The solution is so simple! Just make a NEW tiny mesh for the "squishing" parts! This way, I can give it the density and edge flow I need without fucking up the topology of the base mesh. Working in 3D also makes it much easier for me to conceptualize areas that give me trouble in Gimp, and this workflow still doesn't take nearly as long as the first technique.

Admittedly, it still involves a bit of drawing/cleaning up in gimp. Here's the raw render:

But the guidelines are basically there, so it's easier to draw the more difficult "straight-on" kind of angles and whatnot.

Is it perfect? No. But it succeeds where the other two techniques fail. It also has the added bonus of being animatable IF I can get the outlines to draw right and cut Gimp out of the process entirely. Which would be fun to pull off sometime.

Anyway, I'm chugging along with the Samantha content. I may not end up using these two particular images (they're a spinoff of a "clothes-on" version that I am definitely using), so why not share them?

Fascinating to see the thought process and steps required in putting together your renders!
