Claw that skin, Julie!
Added 2021-06-27 01:34:03 +0000 UTCI don't consider myself a masochist, but there are one or two pain-inflicting little things that I think are pretty hot. Namely, lip-biting and nail-raking.
I struggle a lot to get the fingers to look right every time I attempt this type of look. I think this one finally turned out okay, but it took a damn while. Part of it is just how these fingers are modeled. They, much like a lot of the body, are very long and slender. They also look really bad when they're curled up too far, so I have to go in and fix it. This is the kind of shit I'll be paying attention to on my next project, but I'm putting up with it for now.
The scratches on the skin are done in Gimp. Very simple, little more than a white paintstroke with lowered opacity.
Also, status report:
I spent most of the past week visiting a friend in another state, which put a damper on my progress. While I was there, I got some very important things done in preparation for a future LLRR update, but not much for this current one. Upon returning, I've been hit with apparently the hottest weather in my area since before I was fucking born, making it kinda difficult to focus and get shit done.
Despite this, I'm still making progress! Still hoping for an early release next month, but this heat is going to need to fucking let up a bit. We'll see.
