I've been revamping a lot of the old Julie images lately. This can be a very frustrating process, especially when I don't feel as though I captured the exact same vibe in the new version
For example, here's a shot that's in the current version of LLRR:

I like this shot, but I felt that Julie's out-of-date red tongue and both her and Flin's stretched faces are too distracting here. So, I re-did this one pretty much from scratch, to arrive at this (or the alternate version shown up top, with them under the blankets and her arms stretched up. I plan to use both versions):

I don't feel this is 100% strictly better (which drives me fucking crazy) but there's definitely more I like than dislike about it, so it's replacing the old version.
What's funny is, once I finished, I started moving the camera around to figure out where I wanted to render my next shot - and I remembered this old image that never saw use:

So I tried moving my camera to roughly match this angle again, and surprisingly, wound up with about 80% of what you see here without having to do anything:

And I loved it! Yes, there were a bunch of stupid little things I had to add or polish up to make it all look nicer, but I was immediately impressed with how it was turning out, so it became a fun next project! It's just funny how that works out sometimes.
