You may have noticed that sometimes, I recycle imagery between the girls.
The above shot, for example, is reusing work from one of Amy's recent pictures, but I edited the rest of the body to match Kelly's body type. In this post, I'm gonna go into my thought process behind recycling work (which I largely approve of), including issues I try to avoid.
Lemme take you on the little journey I went through.
The first time I ever really re-used work, I had made this resting pose for Amy:

I really liked it. But this shot took me hours of tweaking to get right. I didn't want to repeat that for Kelly and Julie, but I really wanted them to have comparably awesome resting shots. So, I just recycled the work:

I felt as though this worked marvelously well, saved me a ton of time, and simply augmented what I could do for each character.
So inspired was I, that I ended up making a "hybrid model" where I could just easily swap out their heads, so doing that in the future would be easier. Yes, the girls are different heights and their body frames are somewhat different, but I had 3 reasons to think that wouldn't really matter:
1. They all started from the same neck-down model, which then got tweaked uniquely for each of them, but not like a crazy amount.
2. Plenty of morphing happens during shots to make it look good from a given perspective. You'd be surprised how drastically warped the models get sometimes. Not just boobs, fucking EVERYTHING (Flin too!).
3. Many of my shots are zoomed in on the top area of the body, so differences in height would be irrelevant.
Thing is, the above 3 shots have a particular perspective that works well for this. Even if Julie's boobs are supposed to be bigger (when they're instead identical to Amy's and Kelly's in that shot), you can just assume they're cushioning that much more of Flin underneath so it works. There's also enough time between seeing each image in-game that you're not really comparing them so the size is somewhat arbitrary.
Not realizing the importance of that perspective, I went and made this animation using the hybrid model:

Again, started with Amy. And I was REAL proud of this one! It worked great for Amy, because I used her body as the "default" for the hybrid.
But then I swapped in Kelly's head, which I was gonna show here but I FORGOT that I overwrote it yesterday and didn't keep a backup of the bad version so FUCK.
It's in LLRR, though.
Point is, Kelly's version of this animation never looked right to me. I also made one for Julie, but her version looked so off to me (even after enlarging the boobs a little, lol) that I refused to use it in LLRR, and it remains unused to this day. It just...isn't special enough:

Part of it's her expression/nose, to be fair. I think I kinda fucked up her nose somehow in this shot, and her expression just isn't reaching the right level of "strained" like it does in this shot:

I love her expression here. I failed to recapture it, and that pisses me off.
And if you're sitting there going "What are you talking about, that Julie animation looks great, what the fuck is wrong with you, you should totally put that in the game," well, I truly hope you have fun being wrong about shit.
Or, if you're sitting there going "yeah dude, that animation sucks," don't be so hard on me, geez!
Lol either way, know that I intend to make a new Julie missionary animation (possibly at some point next month), and it's gonna be fucking great. And great fucking.
The point is: I eventually reached the conclusion that differences in body frame will still have an impact on shots like the above, so if I'm going to re-use work, I do need to do the necessary tweaks to alter their bodies (depending on how much the perspective demands it).
And that's EXACTLY WHAT I DID in this post's main image! The boob grab may be the same, which would have been the hardest part, but everything else about the body has been altered to fit Kelly, including the height! And I think it turned out somewhat spectacular, if I do say so myself.
Which is good, because frankly, I think I'm gonna need to lean on a few of the recent Amy images I made to give me a boost with making new Kelly stuff. I really like how it's all coming together, though.
I hope you're like me and get as much of your arousal from new contexts, situations, and characters as from the literal imagery itself, so recycled work doesn't immediately feel tired to you. But either way, thanks for reading!
