General Text Area Update!

Lol, this ancient CG is one of few fully colored CG's in the game that's SFW. I should really remake this one sometime.

In a recent post, I had an image where I mentioned that the bottom area would get cut off by the text box, and how that annoyed me. This has been an ongoing problem that I've tried to account for while rendering, but often ignore because of constraints with the shot.

So, today I tried to greatly improve visibility in the bottom quadrant of the screen! Check out the above image!

You may not notice any difference if you NEVER PAY ATTENTION, so I'll tell you the 4 key differences between that and the usual:

1. Julie's name has no black box behind it. Instead, it just uses an outline.
2. The giant, black text box is now at 35% opacity from what it was, so it's way easier to see the imagery behind it now.
3. The dialogue text has a thin outline around it to preserve readability lost by the faded text box.
4. The tiny little options at the bottom have outlines as well, which looks great as fuck.

In addition, narration text now has a slightly thicker outline, which may help differentiate it just a step more. Here's an example:

It's a subtle thing, but you'll probably notice while playing.

I also tried fading the text box out entirely, but I found it still added a measure of both structure and readability that I think is important.

Personally, I think this looks MUCH nicer than it did, and the difference really shines during CG's (though all of these changes are invisible during black backgrounds). Hopefully, people still find it at least as easy to read as before.

Definitely one of those types of changes that likely (and ideally) goes unnoticed, but I'm feeling like the general quality just went up a little notch, and that's a nice feeling.
Also, this means I can be a little more free with "important details" being in the bottom section of a given image (which was sorta holding me up while making this Kelly stuff, so this HELPS THE CAUSE).
