I agree with Matt Dnd and any table rpg are fun because of the people you play with. When a DM is following the (his) rules too much it gets annoying. I would prefer to play a table game where the rules are simple and known by everyone instead. That said, I loved BG 1. I played when I was a teen. I guess I would like BG 3 even with the randomness. But I don't have time, I bought divinity 1-2 and many other games like BG, but I have not played them yet... so I'll wait for when I finish 1 other at least and by that time BG 3 will be 20 bucks.
