2023-01-03 04:17:55 +0000 UTCI don't think that's quite fair. As the video mentioned, Kennedy greatly enlarged the number of US "advisors" in Vietnam and nobody knows how involved he would have eventually gotten the US there. By all accounts, he favored civil rights for black Americans but was probably more cautious in trying to pass legislation because back then the South was a backbone of Democratic support (the opposite of today) and Kennedy couldn't afford to alienate it (as a northern Catholic, his support there was already limited). Lyndon Johnson, as a Southerner, had much more solid support there and could afford to be bolder, introducing and passing the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

2023-01-03 04:15:47 +0000 UTCJFK's father was US Ambassador to the UK (aka "Court of St. James") before and during part of WW II, something I'd have thought you blokes would know. As such, he was a bit too pro-Hitler (the family was Irish after all) and was eventually removed because of those leanings, but while he was in London his sons, including JFK, toured the Continent including Nazi Germany. He had been appointed because he was a wealthy donor to Franklin Roosevelt and a power in Massachusetts Democratic (Roosevelt's party) politics. He had made much of his money illegally importing Canadian whiskey during Prohibition--that was the alleged connection to organized crime. But later during his Presidency, JFK appointed his brother Robert as Attorney General (which made him the boss of the Director of the FBI) and in this roll Robert Kennedy had become an aggressive prosecutor of Mafia criminals. For that reason the Mafia supposedly wanted to get rid of both Kennedy brothers. But there were other vague connections. In the 1950s ands 1960s, popular entertainers like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennet supposedly had Mafia backers and JFK favored them for White House entertainment for example.

2022-12-19 05:00:45 +0000 UTCIf there is a conspiracy Rabbit hole to fall down…..I’d take a look at Vietnam. JFK was Opposed to Entering a War in Vietnam OR Civil Rights Movement….Lyndon B Johnson (VP assumed Presidency) entered Vietnam politics….JFK’s Brother (Robert) Was Assassinated After giving a Civil Rights Speech in Indianapolis…..Then We Had Richard Nixon as President In the mix of Vietnam War, Civil Rights (1968) and His Watergate Scandal (I dont think politicians played fair back then….They still dont….Internet and Cameras on everyone gives more transparency today)

2022-12-13 04:48:48 +0000 UTCAt the funeral of JFK, Prince Philip held JFK JR's hand through the entire thing (it's all been captured on footage and it's on youtube) and the little get together after the funeral that lasted all night Jacqueline kennedy went to look for JFK Jr and he found him playing with his toys and laughing with Prince Philip

2022-12-04 02:45:17 +0000 UTCI don't know if you've heard of 11.22.63, it's a Sci-fi/kind of thriller type show about trying to stop the assassination of JFK. It's only 8 episodes in 1 season. If you guys were to get into throwing in some episodes here and there or something, or watch on your own, that's something I would recommend. It is fictional but interesting. Atleast the first episode itself will tell you if you're interested in it or not.

2022-11-23 01:52:01 +0000 UTCPresident Kennedy had made so many enemies that conspiracy theories in this case are entirely plausible. He fought hard for civil rights and for the federal government intervening to pass federal law forcing states to end segregation among other things regarding civil rights. The unions such as The Teamers were, to say the least not happy, they had presumed mob connections. Fidel Castro and Khrushchev weren't exactly fans either. I have seen multiple documentaries that had snipers that stated it would have been impossible for one shooter to have made all of the shots that day. Lee Harvey Oswald was killed before he could be tried and he had Russian connections through his wife. Kennedy had been wounded in WWII where he had broken his back when the Japanese sunk his boat. Despite his injuries, he saved 11 of his men. Because of that, he had to wear a hard back brace which unfortunately prevented him from laying down across the seat when the shooting started. The Secret Service wanted him to have a bulletproof bubble on the convertible, but he refused it.
