Won't spoil and obviously always going to be your call but when the time limit is close to what people think is possible I'd imagine it'd draw them in more (24h for DS1 evidently being unrealistic). Other cheeky way would be pick your time after you know how long it took you to make the video have stakes on purpose. That's pretty nickpicky though, the video was great and anything close to it on the other games would be awesome to see.

2025-04-09 15:29:47 +0000 UTCSo I'm normally on pretty thin ice when it comes to the copyright in my videos and this is definitely an example of that; its from a stage recording I found on youtube posted 13 years ago lmao https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qHZkkgowdY&ab_channel=Gioreto1. If you pay close attention during the video you might hear some clicks or background noises, and thats because its literally just a recording from behind the audience. For some reason it didnt get picked up by youtube's system so I just ran with it. My best guess is that because most famous classical pieces are public domain (the arrangements; performances can still be copywritten), youtubes is a bit more picky with it to avoid false copyright flags

But I guess as just a warning? I don’t know how much you’ve researched this but dark souls 2 is widely considered the worst souls game and would also therefore probably do the worst algorithmically if I had to guess which games would do the best it’s probably between dark souls 3 or Elden ring (I’m also just a random dude on the internet I may be wrong). But I am very excited for the continuing of this series I think that’ll be cool. Oh neat I can edit. But yeah I love the souls games and even the community but sometimes they can be so…elitist? Is that the word? Gatekeeping? Yeah?? It does suck but yeah.

Depending on your living expenses, if you do a video a month or so you could make enough to live off of purely from sponsorships even right now. Integrating sponsorships into videos that are art can be tough though. Some YouTubers do it well like Reggie, Ssetth, or MartinCito where it becomes a part of the content, but that balance of art VS $$$ is not easy. Pure AdSense is rough though. Unless you stream your creation process/gaming or have some sort of side channel w/ simpler videos, building up a large enough library for it to be significant can take a while. You seem to have the gift of yap in the best way possible so maybe streaming is the route?
