Patreon soft restart

Edit: I've switched the billing back off for now since Patreon wanted to charge patrons for January. I will switch it back on in a few days once I'm sure they will only charge patrons at the end of February, as was the plan.

Good morning Varrens. As promised I'm restarting Patreon billing from the end of this month. For most of January I've been frantically rendering other artist's work, and this will be my main activity for the months to come. Artists I'm rendering for include
Mets

GifDoozer

Likkez

SageOfOsiris

I will never put anything I render for other artists behind my paywall, apart from some WIP stills. All their VR videos will be either released publicly or on their own patreons.

As such, I can't promise many Patreon exclusive rewards for the time being, but your support will help greatly to render more anims, if only to pay my electricity costs for the 24/7 rendering.

I am however working on a very exciting projects, for which my patrons will get the first access. I can't tell you anything more about it but that you'll get it on March 1st.

I'd love to do this, but I'm not going to do it with the anims I get from other artists, as I don't think it's cool to put other people's content behind my paywal. Also another angle is another 3-4 days of rendering. When I have time to make other anims of my own, then I'll do that.

It would be cool to see alternate angles as patreon rewards.

You mean taking on or hiring commissions? Taking them on was not something I expected to do, but turns out I was approached by a patron to do a VR scene build for an existing animation. (Animation by SageOfOsiris). So I might do these in the future as commission work. Below is a log of what I did, and my patron is now rendering the scene at 8K! Should be exciting to watch. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LLPrBNilf8PWUWw0a8Qkr9qzPMm0eI2ZV2mUOHe0tUE/edit?usp=sharing I don't think I'll take animation commission in the near future as I'm a shitty animator and it's much too time consuming. I do still plan to hire commissions, at first from sound artists to add sound to VR scenes. I'll do it myself for now as often as I can for scenes I render, but I'm pretty crappy at it and it's time consuming, so if I can afford to I'll hire Audiodude or another sound artist to do that part. I don't advertise it but for the Scale Itch I actually hired a sound actor... to voice the Varren.
