I'm ending my subscription. There are ways to deal with what happened and keep the show going, but just rushing out episodes with a new host without clearing the air is not the right way to go about it.

@—Jonathan— The issue doesn’t really have anything to do with re-election, but rather that enforcement is fully within the Administration’s control, and that’s really the issue. The vast majority of Hatch Act violations are people you’ve never heard of who don’t work for the White House. Too many laws rely on good faith application of it, even if you made an independent office that handled Hatch prosecutions, you’d still have to protect it against a President making appointments to it or being able to destroy its function by NOT making appointments. The counterpoint to your theory is there are numerous former Trump officials who are on record as thinking a 2nd term would have been much worse because he’d have not have had to even pretend to be worried about what the public thought.

Upgrading the hatch act: What if, us presidents where constitutionally prohibited from more than 1 term in office (make it an 8 or 10 year term), and also prohibited from all campaigning while in office (for themselves or any candidate in any capacity) This would force them to do 1 thing: preside
