OA691: Donald Trump and the Magical Classified Nightlight

Today, Liz and Andrew break down a number of stories, all of which are bad news for Donald Trump, and we put all of them into the context of Trump's crimes. We also preview the forthcoming release of part of the Fulton County, GA special purpose grand jury report. Phew!

First, Liz continues to update us on the E. Jean Carroll litigation, this time focusing on Trump's post-discovery stunt in which he now is willing to offer his DNA. Find out why this is a  disingenous stunt and find out all the law explaining why.

Then we learn more -- much more -- than you ever wanted to learn about Trump's document retention and destruction policies. Hint: it involves nightlights and toilets, and no, we are not making that up.

I completely agree. Thomas was an entertaining sidekick to Andrew. I really enjoyed their shows. But, I am finding that I’m enjoying Liz’s substance far more than Thomas’s remarks.

I have to say, I am really enjoying this new phase of the podcast!! I’ve been a fan of the show since episode 1, and would recommend listening to any previous episode to anyone I know (they've all been great!). But in my honest opinion, having two expert hosts vs the "one expert, one layman" (sorry, laybot) approach is a welcome upgrade. I feel like I'm learning twice as much, twice as fast! I do have one request: Could you figure out a new bar exam segment for the end of the show? Maybe each look up (or invent) the hardest bar questions and try and stump each other? Or some sort of final jeopardy style where you get the same question and have to write down the answer before revealing? Get creative! The bar exam segment could easily live on. I'm still loving the show, thanks for keeping it going and for continuing to make it even better over all these years.

Thanks for sharing, I know there are a lot people that can't get you out of their head (and they will likely reply below) but remember it drives up interactions and popularity.

Please stop. I waited for a long time to say anything because that’s how I roll. I sincerely thought Andrew had a moral compass and would do the right thing. Posting every day or two is a clear sign of being tone deaf. Just. Fucking. Stop.
