I'm going with B. If the plaintiff's lawyer brought up that the witness is very honest, then the witness's past is fair game. I don't think it is A. Past conduct can be used to show character.

2022-07-31 18:44:55 +0000 UTCI'm going with A. I don't think you can just bring this kind of thing in out of nowhere or every cross-examination would include it. But I don't think it's B because it's clearly intended to impeach the witness, and I think that impeachment evidence doesn't have to bear directly on the case.
