Today, we’ve once again welcomed a new year. How was your 2025? It was a year full of worries and rough moments, but thanks to all of you, I think it turned out to be a relatively safe and steady year for me.

This year, I spent a lot of time studying and reflecting in order to create better content.
What I can do to draw the comics I truly want to make, what makes content genuinely fun, and what kinds of changes are needed to grow—after much thought, I even began working with animation.

There’s still a mountain of things left to learn, but I believe that next year I’ll be able to grow at least a little more.

It feels like an era of great upheaval. With AI emerging, so many things are changing, and the values and trends people chase seem to shift by the day. How are you all adapting to this age of change?

I decided to pursue art that I can create without AI—choosing to fight, continuously, in order to keep improving. Even if I grow tired and my body wears down, I believe people are valuable because they assign meaning and keep moving forward.

Rather than valuing the result-focused output of machines, I want to place meaning in what I learn through the process of drawing, in my own growth as a person, and in the joy of creation itself.

In 2026, I hope to put these thoughts into practice and live a more meaningful life. Giving you enjoyment, appealing to you in a NSFW way, making you laugh without reason, and sometimes even moving your heart—those things are the value of a creator, after all.

올해는 보다 나은 컨탠츠를 그려내기 위해서 정말 많이 공부하고 고민했던 것 같습니다. 그리고 싶은 만화를 그리기 위해서 제가 할 수 있는 게 무엇인지. 재밌는 컨탠츠란 무엇인가. 어떤 변화를 주어야 발전할 수 있을까 등, 고심한 끝에 애니메이션 작업을 해보기도 했지요.

아직 배워야할 것이 산더미긴 하지만, 다음 해엔 그래도 조금 더 발전할 거란 믿음이 있습니다.

대 혼란의 시기인 거 같습니다. AI가 나오고 많은 것들이 변하고 있고, 사람들이 쫓는 가치관, 트렌드 역시 하루가 다르게 달라지는 느낌입니다. 여러분들은 변화의 시대에 잘 적응하고 계신가요?

저는 AI 없이 제가 할 수 있는 예술을 해보자고 마음 먹었습니다. 끊임없이 발전하기 위해 투쟁하기로 말이에요. 지치고 몸은 낡아가도 사람이 가치로운 건 '의미'를 부여하고 나아가기 떄문이라고 생각해요.

결과중심이 나은 기계의 출력물에 가치를 둘 게 아니라, 그림을 그리는 과정에서 얻는 배움과 나란 존재의 발전, 창작의 기쁨을 느끼고 그것에 의미를 두자고 말이에요.

26년은 이런 생각을 실현해나가면서 더 가치로운 삶을 살아보려고 합니다. 여러분들에게 재미를 주는 것, NSFW적으로 끌리게 하고, 그저 실없는 웃음을 주기도 하고, 감동을 주기도 하는 그런 게 창작자의 가치일 테니까 말이에요.
