2021-03-22 00:08:28 +0000 UTCIf anyone is curious as to where we need to start fixing our democracy, listen to the first 15 minutes of this podcast. Where the legal expert on Senate procedure discussed the potential ramifications of a senator's need to use the bathroom when considering changes to Senate rules on the filibuster. It seems like there has to be a happy medium between an oppressive regime that makes quick decisions on infrastructure projects and the world's largest representative of democracy that doesn't put people in concentration camps. I know that shortly before we were hammering out highway infrastructure projects we had a few human rights violations to Asian immigrants, but I really don't think the two things are related.
