IiS Chapter 03

I was brought to another menu to customize my body. It came with more bells and whistles than the default Skyrim character creator as well. I could choose my height… Max, obviously which was six foot six and penis length… Not max, I didn’t want to turn a woman’s guts inside out with a foot-long sword. Eight inches was plenty in my opinion, it could even be too much for some of the smaller races.

Skyrim had all the characters be somewhat similar in height but I knew in real life the height of everyone was going to be drastically different. Argonian and Khajiit had to be smaller than Nord or Orc just from what they’re genetically better at. The martial races would lean towards bigger/stronger frames by default and the stealthy agile races would be smaller/thinner on average.

I think orcs never stopped growing until they died, it was just part of their race. Either way, I kept making changes until I got a good-looking person as my avatar. The changes I made also affected his charisma, it bumped me up from a +2 to a +3. Most Nords were probably +1 or +2, Altmer was +3 to +5 while Orc was -2 or -3.

It meant that I was on average more attractive than most with the few exceptions being pure Altmer which most races would hate by default. I didn’t have any negative racial views against me right now but there was a much smaller group of Nords who would never speak to me as they didn’t think Nords should interbreed. They were a minority though and it would just be easier not dealing with them or just outright murdering them if they became too much of a problem.

It was something to worry about in the future though. Not everyone would like me just because my parents weren’t full-blooded Nords. Locking in the changes I come across the last screen, choosing my name. Did I go with just my name? That seemed… Boring. Funkmaster69, Fartbuckle, or Poop McDinglefart seemed to fit my current attitude better. Choosing a name is pretty difficult actually.

Could go by my old wow character Rage. Rage seemed fitting for my fighting style in Skyrim games. I should go by a Nord name though. Ninety percent of the people I would come in contact with are Nords so it only really made sense to cater to them the most. You couldn’t bamboozle someone if they saw you coming a mile away. Ragner? Ragnir? I’ll go with Ragnar.

Wait, wasn’t there a song about Ragnar the Red? I’d rather not have my name linked to a song about someone who bragged so hard he had his head cut off. Rhaegar it is then. As I input my name I feel the powers I selected lock in and I get to see the perks they now granted.

-100% melee damage, 150 carry weight

-25% movement speed, 25% attack speed

-500 Health

-250 Magicka, 10% reduction to all spell cost

- Increases global affinity from 1 to 3 ranks depending on the person

-Special Teleportation Spells

-The ability to create your own unique magic

Fuck! I passed up on the magic creation system from Oblivion! Well, to be fair, that system tended to get me killed more often than not as I buff athletics to the point I launch myself into space and die from the fall. Still, why did it have to show me the choices I didn’t pick, it makes me just wish I could have had everything instead of needing to choose. As I looked at my choices, I knew I had made the right decision with them though.

Making a skill legendary will give a unique trait and increase the experience gained for that skill by 10% at different legendary ranks or reaching legendary with multiple skills more traits may be unlocked

Having sexual relations with a partner will increase the lowest skill the person has by an equivalent amount of time having sex, the bonus is doubled if the skill you are raising is the person’s highest skill, and the partner gains 10 health, magicka, and stamina, skill bonus for you and stat bonus for them is doubled again if you marry them

1500 carry capacity storage space

Why does dual cultivation have so many rules to it? If I did everything right I could get potentially a four times increase in leveling a skill that absolutely sucks to level like heavy armor or light armor. There was also no rule to marrying more than one woman, at least I felt like it was possible to marry more than one for the bonus to take effect. Growth would give me unique traits which I felt could vary wildly on how useful they'd be. Out of curiosity I planned on leveling all eighteen of my skills and then making them legendary at least once.

I never got the reason for making a skill legendary, sure it lets you keep leveling or gives you perk points back but at that point, why bother? You’re most likely near the end of your game but if I’m going to be living in the world for years, having a reason for legendary skills made sense. I could continuously level skills and legendary them for the chance at extra traits. Who knew if reaching rank 100 legendary would give a trait, I was interested in seeing if it was possible.

The fifteen hundred carry capacity storage was possibly the best choice in the short run and would let me reach those later levels more easily. Many of the game mechanics of Skyrim were stripped away and the inventory was one of the things that didn’t exist. Carrying 300 weight would be drastically different in-game than in real life. No, even carrying just 100 weight would slow me down and perhaps get in the way of my fighting.

In the long run, I could just have multiple followers carrying everything out of the ruins but until I got to that point I needed the carry space to carry me to the end game of my plans. People don’t realize how broken money is in the game, or rather how broken it would be if you could exploit markets, convert lesser materials to greater ones, and create an armed force to steamroll anything you as the Dragonborn couldn’t.

I blink away the screens and time begins again. The same process goes on again with one of the Nord captives proving how big his balls are by skipping the line and offering to be the first beheaded. “As fearless in death as he was in life.” She pointed to me before shouting. “You prisoner you’re next.” Before I move I ask. “Can I ask what I’m being charged with?”

She looked aggravated as she answered. “It doesn’t matter what crimes you committed, you’re here with Ulfric so you’ll die with him.” I interrupt her again. “Yeah, but it seems kind of random. Why not kill the most important criminals first, that way you know they’re dead. Who knows if the execution will be interrupted by something, I just don’t quite understand why some random man who didn’t commit a crime is the second up to the chopping block instead of the guy who murdered the king.”

Hadvar spoke up. “He kind of has a point. He's also not on the list.”
