Vueko and gang were basically the first people to explore the abyss for the first time and they went in completely ignorant not knowing what would happen and if you really think about it this is the equivalent to people in real life back in history exploring the unexplored parts of the Earth for the very first time because they too wouldn't have know of the dangers that would await them on their journey, but someone had to try first and slip and fall in order to learn from it and not do it again, except in The Abyss it physically won't let you return back up to the surface to warn everybody else(specifically the 6th layer). Another example would be people exploring a completely new planet for the first time, I'd imagine with how little knowledge of said new planet there'd probably be a lot of losses for a multitude of reasons.

Sorry for the late response, I got busy with other things before I could watch & comment on the video.
This is kinda weird since you're technically already ahead on the anime, but I'll just clarify things anyways just incase you still don't understand.
So "The Cradle Of Desire" aka "The Wish Granting Egg" basically physically forced Irumyuui's body to adapt to giving birth to "children" which was her wish, but as you saw it was very fucked up the way it even granted one and thats because since Irumyuui is a child with no idea of how a baby is born so she just assumed it came from the abdomen which is what we saw with her and the reason why the babies kept on dying is because just like Vueko said they don't have any internal organs to survive and again since Irumyuui is only a child she didn't put that into account when making the wish that she wanted that to happen. The Cradle of Desire is VERY picky with how you make a wish so even if you're off by one important detail it will completely fuck up everything which is the unfortunate situation that happened to Irumyuui but to be honest no none would of know about that. Also the babies literally look like the pet animal she had that had gotten eaten.
I personally like to call them "The Cursed Dragon Balls" and if you remember this flashback situation is very similar to what happens in Fate/Zero when Kiritusgu asks the Holy Grail to grant his wish of "saving the world", but it tries to do it in fucked up way, but the major difference here is that the wish actually fucking happened for Irumyuui.
