I heard season 2 gets even more fucked up MAN WHY DID WE LET THIS AUTHOR COOK Can I get some positives without having 42 negatives before it to make the positive feel like the story is worth going through

2023-01-10 09:07:21 +0000 UTCAlso the whole part that showed an image of everyone and Bondrewd going on an adventure was something Prushka wish would of happened even though to begin with she knew it wouldn't end up like that cuz she obviously cared for both Riko and Bondrewd and didn't them to fight which she literally mentions moments before this scene, but as that was not the reality of the situation that unfortunately was never gonna happen Bondrewd at least granted Prushka's wish to never bother them ever again. Now Bondrewd has made it his new aspiration/desire to see them all keeping going deeper than the 5th layer that they're already on and he basically stated that their own desire to keep going deeper into the Abyss had surpassed his own which automatically peaked his interest in them even more so this is just speculation but now Bondrewd could maybe somehow be of help to them this time if they ever get into some "deep shit" but idk how likely that is myself. Prushka loved Bondrewd so much and was so devoted to him that she was more than willing to take the full brunt of the curse head on. While experiencing the curse of the 6th layer since she also grew to have such a strong connection to Riko in such a short amount of time Prushka was constantly thinking about Riko and her desire to go on adventures with them all and eventually all her remains in the cartridge transformed into a White Whistle that Riko has now so Bondrewd in a fucked up way did grant Prushkas wish of a future life full of adventure and indirectly helped Riko & gang move on into the 6th layer.

2022-10-05 02:58:06 +0000 UTCIn Made in Abyss there's this constant theme throughout S1, The Movie & S2 which is "Sacrifice" and it's such a straightforward yet brutal concept that's executed in the most horrific ways I've seen in this show. Like the fact that people venture into the Abyss is a sacrifice in itself due to risking your own wellbeing. Many examples of this theme being used are like when Reg sacrificed Rikos wellbeing to take the 4th layers stains head on just in order to survive and get away from the Orb Piecer or the fact anyone who wants to become a white whistle needs someone who is WILLING sacrifice their own value to become something else. I'd like to give more examples but can't cuz of spoilers.

2022-10-04 20:52:10 +0000 UTCAs you have displayed you have a strong hate towards Bondrewd for his actions which is understandable. What I'm about to say right now isn't to justify what he did, but explain the reasoning behind it along with his goal basically explaining his character to you cuz you seem to completely misunderstand some things about him (no offence) so please bear with me here. They briefly go over it without fully giving a explanation (this is on purpose), because apparently Bondrewd is somehow aware of some sort of horrible event in the Abyss which happens about every 2,000 years (which is how long ago when they first found the Abyss) and now Bondrewd casted off his morality & humanity by becoming a White Whistle to pursue a way of stopping it which is why we see him do the horrible things that he does. He's sacrificed so much of himself in pursuit of knowledge that the abyss itself is not letting him self-sacrifice anymore, only others. If he could he would of kept sacrificing himself and all that he had in the pursuit of knowledge, but obviously that didn't happen and that is what led to him using other people in pursuit of knowledge to keep learning more about the abyss and its mysteries and to also prepare humanity for the next 2000 years. Even though he sacrificed his own body to obtain his white whistle and lost his humanity in the process his personality hasn't changed, he's still has that "kindly paternal figure" to him but he's so focused on understanding the Abyss that he has lost the ability to understand that other people are capable of suffering and he can no longer fully comprehend the emotions of others. In a way he's sort of a necessary evil as he's responsible for creating all the technology that cave raiders have been using which he probably created through inhumane ways. You almost don't want to hate him because of his "cheerful" personality. He'll praise people for their intelligence or strength or even for thwarting his plans, and he'll do so genuinely, all the while absolutely thrashing them in combat and describing how he's going to dissect them to see what makes them so special. Bondrewd never once stops being polite and paternal though, even at his most monstrous. He was ALWAYS in control. What I really like about Bondrewd and what I think is so fascinating about him is that he sees purpose and value in Prushka despite her early, grave injuries. He doesn't view people as disposable (believe it or not). Everyone can contribute, no matter how small. After all, he never actually needed Prushka. He could of formed a similar bond with any of the other orphans rather than go through the effort of nursing her back to health MULTIPLE TIMES. However, unlike us, Bondrewd holds no bias towards Humanity when it comes to scientific progress. So in the exact same vein he is willing to brutally fulfill each person's purpose (including himself) in order to carry out his scientific endeavours. He's literally a living Paradox/Contradiction as he genuinely and truly did love Prushka and those kids yet he was capable of doing the most despicable things to them and act like it was normal due to not being human he cannot fully understand humans and their emotions vice versa we as humans and the characters themselves in the show can never fully understand him either as he's Transcended his own humanity to something we can't truly comprehend and the fact that the abyss affects you mentally as it can make you go insane also affected Bondrewds actions. Bondrewd wouldn't have received "The Blessing" which turned him into a hollow like Nanachi unlike Mitty and all the other kids, because he figured out the reason as to why Nanachi was a special case and a huge playing factor was to have a very strong emotional connection with someone else aka "Love" and it doesn't go only one way it has to work both ways meaning that it couldn't only be Prushka that loved Bondrewd and he didn't feel the same way NO Bondrewd hand to reciprocate the same genuine love for Prushka in order for "The Blessing" to even work, but now with his humanity gone he can flip like a switch basically like a robot and enact his plan without hesitation. (He even looks like a robot too.) My final point is basically what Bondrewd does isn't just for "the sake of being evil" nor does he find enjoyment from tormenting/killing kids thats just his "cheerful" personality trait from whatever was left when he was still human. Now in his current state he doesn't feel like what he's doing is wrong and his ambition has blinded him.

"An end to the price that we pay for our dreams It can never be repaid" "To carry on is to carry a burden" Basically one of Rikos dreams was to become a White Whistle but it came at the cost of Prushka and you could technically see it as carrying a burden with Riko now. I could keep on going with each line of the song if I wanted to and if you're interested you can see for yourself.

The weird one is the author here, he explains that what Bondrewd meant by "Papa Pole" was a just a name he told Prushka to use instead of saying "Penis" so no Bondrewd did not show his D*ck to her. Bondrewd taught Prushka all about the human anatomy and the author I guess thought it was funny to call it that instead of a penis.
