Christmas Update

Happy Christmas (we said 'Happy,' not 'Merry,' in my household, and it's the only tradition I respect) to everyone who celebrates it.
Since I forgot to post about it here, as you probably saw, the Oof video went up for everyone else. It has, uh, exploded, in a way I wasn't fully prepared for. As a result, a lot of people have reached out with more stories and interesting notes. Somewhat shockingly, upon a close fact-checking by knowledgeable parties, my main mistake appears to have been giving Tommy too much credit. I don't normally do follow-up videos but one feels inevitable for this. I'm going to put it off for a little bit, just to make sure Tommy has time to respond if he wants to (or if he can, lol).
I have a little bonus video planned which I wanted to get out before I started travelling to see family for Christmas, but as I write this post I am no longer at home, so I've missed that deadline. I aim to get back and have it finished before the new year, along with a proper update on the state of the channel and what to expect going forward. It was fun keeping the Oof a secret but the next few videos are really stupid and I want you to know in advance.
Thank you all so much for supporting me making stuff. I continue to be astounded, shocked, and above all thankful, that this is my life.
When my loved ones and extended family open the awful gifts I got them because they are worth nothing to me, the brief flash of joy on their faces before they see what it is was brought to them by you, your kindness to me allowed me to afford to do so. Really, you are my real family.

It's not easy to be deep into other people's worlds to research a video and then translate that coherently. Sometimes, the most fascinating stories (such as OOF) are the most unbelievable and really challenges us to accept what our culture and society has wrought. You bring with that a deep sense of empathy that I definitely can feel through your generous portrayals of your subjects (even if they don't agree).

The provided source doesn't back this claim up at all. Extremely funny that even randomly looking up Tommy I found another weird insane lie without even looking for it--makes me wonder what other ridiculous nonsense he's said that nobody's realized yet.
