Hello everyone! I’m back (again), and I finally managed to finish my Dragon Roost Island video. In one of my previous updates, I mentioned a free bonus video that I wanted to post for Christmas. Well, Dragon Roost Island ended up being so complicated that I didn’t have time to post one video in December, let alone two. I’d still like to post a free video at some point, though, so I’ll keep working on it alongside my other projects, and hopefully I can have it out sometime soon.
On the upside, I have an exciting announcement about some new Patreon rewards, along with some news about the Patreon fee restructuring that I posted about last month, plus a preview of the Doki Doki Literature Club theme down at the bottom!
If you read my previous post regarding Patreon’s fee restructuring, you can just disregard all that… Patreon received a lot of negative feedback regarding the proposed changes to their fee structure, so they have decided not to push forward with them. If you have already adjusted your pledge to one of the adjusted tiers that was temporarily available, don’t worry about changing it back, I will make sure that you get the rewards that you are entitled to. Sorry about all of the confusion!
I am very appreciative of your support, and for the past several months I’ve been trying to think of some ways that I can increase the value of the tiers that you’re paying for. I also wanted to introduce a little more interactivity into my Patreon campaign so that it doesn’t feel like I’m just taking the money and running, and so that I can get to know the members of my Patreon community a little better.
So after kicking around a few ideas, I’ve come up with a few upgrades that I’d like to add to my current tiers. I also have a few Patrons who are very generously pledging much more than the highest tier, so I decided to add an official $10 tier so that those Patrons are actually getting something in return for the extra money they’re pledging.
Here are the additional rewards that I’ve come up with. All of the current rewards will stay the same, but the following additions will be made to each tier:
Also, just a heads up, I MIGHT end up moving the in-video credit to a $7 tier so that I can limit it to 100 people or so. If I do that, everyone who is in the $5 tier at the time of the change will continue to receive an in-video credit until they cancel their pledge. At the moment this shouldn’t be necessary, but if I ever start to run out of room on the credits page, or if it becomes too time consuming to copy/format all the names, I might consider creating a new tier with a cap.
Anyway, read on to learn more about the new rewards!
If you are supporting my campaign at any level, you now have access to the official PPF Discord server! Feel free to drop by and introduce yourself and discuss whatever’s on your mind. Right now there are only a handful of channels on the server, but if you have any suggestions for new channels you’d like to see, feel free to chime in with your ideas.
In order to access the Discord server, you’ll have to connect your Patreon account to your Discord account by using the button on the bottom of this page.
Thanks to your support, I’ve been able to record nearly all of the “expensive” arrangements that had previously just been sitting around on my hard drive for the past several years. Now that I’ve checked off a lot of the major projects that were on my to-do list, I’d like to try something a little different by giving YOU the opportunity to populate a to-do list of tracks for me to consider recording. Here’s how it’ll work…
Each time I post a video, I’ll make a thread on Patreon where you’ll be able to suggest stuff that you’d like to hear me record. I’ll keep track of all of your suggestions in a publicly viewable spreadsheet so that I can see which suggestions are more popular. It’ll look a little something like this:

Each time I post a Suggestion Box thread, you will be able to use your Suggestion Box credits to do one of two things:
If you are a $5 supporter or higher, you will have 2 credits to use each time I post a video, which you can use on two different suggestions, or you can put them both toward the same suggestion.
I can’t promise that I will always be able to record the most popular suggestions, but I will try my best to pick suggestions from the top of the list.
With all that being said, I have NO IDEA how this is gonna pan out, so this is going to be very experimental for now, which is why I decided to add it as a feature of the currently existing tiers rather than making it into its own tier. My current plan is to alternate between my personal to-do list and the Patreon-created Suggestion Box, but if it turns out to be too difficult to record things from the Suggestion Box, then at worst I would just alter the frequency of Suggestion Box uploads so that I’m only recording them every once and a while. Conversely, if the stuff in the Suggestion Box ends up being easily manageable, I might record things from the Suggestion Box more frequently than every other upload.
I downloaded Doki Doki Literature Club a few weeks ago, and the main theme instantly got stuck in my head, so I decided to try arranging it using the instruments in my collection.
All of the audio has been recorded, but I still need to mix it properly. Here’s what I have so far though:

And that’s all for now! As always, thank you for your support. I look forward to chatting with y’all on Discord!
