First Update! In-Video Credits and Album Info

Hello!  First off, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has pledged so far.  You have no idea how much easier this extra cash is gonna make things for me.  I truly appreciate that you enjoy my videos enough to help me out with production costs!

Secondly, I added some info to the $5 tier late last night after some people had already signed up, so I just wanted to make sure that everyone is aware that if you have an alias you want me to use for your in-video credit, you can send me a message on Patreon and let me know!  If your alias is your Twitter/YouTube/Other social media handle, let me know that too so I can add the appropriate social media icon next to your name.  Otherwise, I'll just use your Patreon account name to credit you.

Lastly, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up on what I’m going to be working on over the next several months, so here are some tentative lists of the tracks I’m going to be including on each of my albums.

The Chrono Trigger selections are pretty solid.  I’m trying to think of a couple more tracks to add so that I can have 12-14 tracks total, but here’s the list so far:

The Recorder Pop selections are pretty shaky, as I have no idea how some of these arrangements are actually going to sound once I start fleshing them out.  A lot of these selections might end up getting dropped/replaced if I start working on the arrangement and I don’t like the way it’s coming out.  The selections I’m the most sure of are at the top, the weakest are at the bottom:

As I said in my update video, my uploads are going to be alternating between Chrono Trigger tracks and Pop tracks in order to keep things interesting.  And if my Patreon goals get met, I’ll put everything aside and start working on those tracks.

That’s all for now!  I think I’ll try to post an update after each upload so that I can let you know how things are going and what’s coming up next.

Thanks for reading!

I'm so happy to see you back! You're my inspiration for learning guitar. I've been getting pretty decent after a year of practice.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that! Looks like I'll be recording Spiral Mountain in the near future.

Congrats on reaching your goal!

At the moment I'm just using "Chrono Trigger" as a blanket term for both games in the series, so any Chrono Cross stuff that I decide to do will be on this album as well. I've been going through the soundtracks of both games trying to find tracks that I enjoy and that are within my skill level, and it just so happens that most of the tracks that are "doable" are from Chrono Trigger. I'm still trying to add a couple more tracks to the list, so maybe I'll try to pull them from the Chrono Cross soundtrack to try and balance things out a bit. If I ever finish these albums, I'm probably gonna move on to some Studio Ghibli, Banjo-Kazooie, or anime albums, so it'll be a while before I'll ever reconsider visiting Chrono Trigger/Cross. Thanks for your question!

Thanks! Yeah, I figured the pop album would be off putting to a lot of people, but it's something that I've been wanting to do for a long time but haven't been "able" to, as I've felt a bit trapped in a box of creating video game covers. But ultimately I just view it as yet another subtle way of discouraging people from giving me their money, lol.

Thanks for the update! Looks like a solid list so far. Do you have any plans to do any (more) work with Chrono Cross down the road as well?

Good to hear you're getting stuff in order. I'm not that thrilled on pop covers (don't really listen to that kinda stuff) myself compared to game/animation music, but hey, if you enjoy making them, that's great. Here's to meeting that first goal.
