Edict pt. I | Stinella

BY REQUEST PATRON PETER NONBOE - A BRAND NEW TWO PART SERIES WITH STINELLA! πŸ€©πŸ™ŒπŸ»

We set out to do something similar to this old shoot we once did, called 'BRUMA'.  πŸ˜ The concept was simple and something which we in fact did flirt a little with, back when we did this summer set without the flash tho; To always be on the move and never be static!

So when I contacted her to tell that we had a request here on Patreon, from on of you, to do a new shoot - she was all game and immediately began the preparations. 😁πŸ’ͺ🏻 She came up with an idea of doing a shoot on the local danish comedy theater named 'Teater Play' (A big shoutout to them!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ«ΆπŸ») because she had some contacts there, who might be able to help us.
They didn't hesitate to lend of the keys and all of a sudden, we had free entrance to the place - which you can see in this video showing how it went down behind the scenes on this particular shoot. πŸ€“

Now let's get some behind the scenes insights..

First of all; "why all this fuzz about using a flash? Isn't flash just for lightening up dark scenaries? πŸ€¨πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ", you ask. And no; it ain't. πŸ˜‰

If used correctly, it is a perfect creator of moods and can completely change the overall vibe of a photo.
Take this example below; Two photos which I purposely did right after one another. The photo on the left was done with my iPhone with no flash setting. Just casual artificial light on the set.
To the right is the same setting, but shot with my Canon R5 with a GODOX V1 PRO flash attached. Obviously there's a huge difference in the quality and resolution of the photos, but that's not the important part here - look how different they look, even tho I shot them right after each other. πŸ‘€πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

We personally preferred the look on the right, because it just gives it a little.....fashion-ish look, right? πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

(Above is an example of how the overall look changed when using a flash and not using a flash)

Obviously is all a matter of personal preferrences when deciding what look to go with, but for our wish to create some dynamic stuff with lots of movement etc, the choice of using a flash on all the photos was a no brainer. 😁
Furthermore, before we even went there Stinella send me some videos of the place asking me if I thought it could work out - and in one of the videos, she showed this beautiful red oldschool Chesterfield chouch seen below..

(The texture on the chouch makes it very reflective to light and I spotted that in the video Stinella send me. I then immidiately suggested we went with the 'flash look' because we could achieve some awesome looks at this. Notice the yellow areas, how it reflects the light coming in from the right)

And by combining the flash and this epic chouch, we ended up with photos like #01, #05 & #12 from this part of the series. 😍 I just looooove the colors of it!!
So yeah, that was more or less it. 😁 Such a fun shoot to do - and thank you very much for suggesting it to us, Peter Nonboe. πŸ™πŸ»

The second half was just released at this link!

REMEMBER: Here on Patreon I'm always up for suggestions and try my best to set up shoots, with the people you wish to see me doing stuff with. πŸ˜πŸ“Έ

As always: Please feel free to ask away about whatever you want to know about this shoot! ☺️ Technical stuff, practical stuff, tips or tricks - or simply just let me know what you think. πŸ₯³πŸ™πŸ»
