Black Smoke pt. II | Sara Borg Sørensen

Two weeks ago I released the first part of this brand new shoot with a newcomer named Sara - and I highly suggest you go check it out as well, before continuing here. ☺️🤌🏻

Below is the original text from the first post:

"Help me greet this newcomer welcome, her name is Sara! 😁👋🏻

Back in early summer, I did a GIVEAWAY on my Instagram in which three peeps could win a photoshoot. I can't exactly remember what they had to do, but nevertheless I ended up with three different winners; Sabrina, this Sara & a still unknown (for you) woman who haven't had the time do do her own shoot yet - sooner or later it might come. 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

It was completely free of charge and they could do whatever setting they pleased - and today you're looking at the first part of Saras results. 🥹🤌🏻

She's a super shy but awesome car enthusiast with her limited Lewis Hamilton-edition Mercedes, which she didn't hesitate to let me know as the first thing, that in fact rather wanted photos of that instead of herself. 😆
I said; "Cool! Let's do so" - but as the day for the shoot approached, she changed her mind and ended up wishing she was on the photos as well.
Such a good idea, if you ask me. 👏🏻

(Above: A couple of shots I also did of her baby! 🤩👌🏻 Alle these are just shot with an iPhone so nothing pro or anything, but it was just to give you a glimpse of how beautiful such magnificent beast can be! 😏)

Living with anxiety, as Sara, and in general just fair strangers a bit, this is a huge deal for Sara - but because she's such a champ, we ended up doing this!! 💪🏻☀️

I suggested we met up in the evening on a beautiful day in the summer and freestyled. She drove all the way from Fyn, Denmark to Copenhagen, Denmark where we met up on a slightly remote location, and played around with smoke, dresses etc. 🤩 - And speaking of smoke..

She brought along a bag containing like 4-5 smoke grenades she bought for another occasion and now was the time to make use of them, she thought. 😆 As always I'm up for some fun, so we played around with them and tried different setups like matching the smoke with the color of her dresses etc.
But when shooting photos with props like smoke grenades, you really have to be aware of the surroundings, that the smoke doesn't dye the clothing and have an eye of where the wind is coming from. 😅

Below is an example of how it might end up looking, if not aware of in which direction the wind is blowing.. 😆🙈

(To the left: Sara is holding the smoke grenate in her left hand, but the wind is blowing from her left too = RIGHT IN YA FACE! 😂 To the right: She's doing it correctly here, since the wind is coming from behind so she don't get all smoked up and vanish 😁)

Some technical info..

We did all of it in the evening and used like 2,5 hours in total. It was just at sunset, to get the longest possible shadows and low sun.
I shot at the Canon R5 only with my Canon 24-70 mm f./2.8 L USM III lens. 🤓

At the end of the shoot, the sun was in fact gone and the lack of direct sunlight forced me to crank up the ISO + the white balanced. In fact, photo #08 + #10 is shot at 'Kelvin 10.000'(!!! 😆) due to the very blueish tint we ended up with. 😅
