Meet Olivia ! βΊοΈππ»πβοΈ
A fine woman who contacted me because she wanted some shots done in the evening sun, on a beach in lovely weather. Two things which can be quite tricky to achieve here in the cold north! π
We did find a period of time were the weather was on point tho - and arranged a meeting one evening, on which we ended up by having like 40/45 min before the sun was gone. βΊοΈ
On a west-heading beach close to Slagelse, Denmark we took a stroll and ended up on this semi remote place, to do her some beautiful shots.

(Upon arrival, the sun was still hiding behind a thick layer of clouds, as you can see on this photo, but it pretty came free of that and headed down into the horisont. However, it gave us a very unique and calm look, because of the clouds. That was much better than direct sun)
If you've ever been on a danish beach, you can't help but notice the massive amount of seaweed always present in the sand. π That's simply inevitable in this part of the world - so we had to be creative and avoid it on the photos. π€·π»ββοΈ
Below you can see how some parts of a beach can look like. This photo was taken just as an example of how extreme it can get. π

(Tons of seaweed present at the sand part of the beach, so we obviously had to shoot from a slightly low angle, to avoid it getting visible at the photos - and doing most of the shots in either the water or the green leafy area further into the mainland, behind the sand)
In the end of the shoot, which didn't last for more than 45 min - 1 hour, to sun was slowing dying out. At that point we headed into the sea and did a few final shots out there with the white shirt on, she brought along. βΊοΈ

(A final setting in the last remaining daylight..)
We ended up doing everything in the natural light coming in from the sun, with no reflectors or artificial stuff to lighten up our setting. On my Canon R5 I cranked up the White Balance a large a amount to achieve this southern warm vibe. As I recall I shot most of this shoot on K9000 or so, while using my Canon 70-200 mm f./2.8 L USM III lens.
As always: Please feel free to ask away about whatever you want to know about this shoot! βΊοΈ Technical stuff, practical stuff, tips or tricks - or simply just let me know what you think. π₯³ππ»
