Moving Backwards pt. I | Amalie Meghan

For the first time ever here on the channel, you're for real about to say hello to Amalie Meghan, in this first solo photoshoot in two parts! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ€©
Obviously you might already have checked out the 'Behind The Scenes'-video from May, which were the month in which we did the photos, but we haven't had a premiere up until now and let's have a little walkthrough of the shoot now we're at it.. 😎

The second part of the photos will release next week by the way!

It can't come as a surprise, that we did the photos in the studio. πŸ€ͺπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
The aim for this shoot was to hit something slightly sci-fi inspired stuff, with neons, smoke and futuristic cloths. 😁 Therefore we used a S700 Smoke Machine on some of the photos and combined that with a Nanlite Pavotube II 15X on the left side of Amalie, placed on a tripod, to make some interesting colored sidelight. ☺️

(A Nanlite Pavotube II 15X mounted on a tripod and placed on the left side of the model to create some atmoshphere and colored contour-lighting)

(At the images above you can see me holding the smoke machine in front of Amalie, to get the smoke to diffuse her and create a sense of depth in the photo. It's on purpose that I didn't just shoot it in from either of the side or behind her, since I wanted to incorporate it as a huge part of the photos. πŸ€“)

As you can see on this first part of the photos, we did create a few different looks and played around with the light, bot kept using the same Colorama Arctic White backdrop. 😁 It was all about keeping it simple but still make as much difference in the looks as possible.

Therefore we packed down the Nanlite Pavotubes and replaced the lighting scource with a Elinchrom StyleRX600 (As seen on the image below) and mounted it with a 80x80 Octabox also from Elinchrom. I placed it right behind a massive Polyboard (120x250 Black/White W/Taped edges) with it's own metal floor stand. πŸ€“

By doing so, I could 100% control the light output, the angles etc.

(Photo #01: The Elinchrom StyleRX600 with the Octabox, also equipped with a PocketWizard remote trigger. In the background you can see the polyboard btw. Photo #02: The polyboard with it's floor stand)

I shot everything on the Canon R5, tethered with a Macbook for fast check ofthe photos etc. My usual studio setup, to be honest. 😁 I cannot recommend that workflow enough.

As always: Please feel free to ask away about whatever you want to know about this shoot! ☺️ Technical stuff, practical stuff, tips or tricks - or simply just let me know what you think. πŸ₯³πŸ™πŸ»
