#T3BE 143 - Early Answer for Patrons

Thomas analyzed this question -- as usual! -- almost exactly perfectly!  He also successfully narrowed down the answers to (C) and (D) before Thomas-ing himself out of the right answer.  That means Thomas is sadly now on a six-question losing streak and is 76-for-143 (53.1%).

Interesting that it's the sending of the final letter, but not the receipt, which initiates the start of a contract. This seems like it would fall squarely into the "Two Generals Problem" category?

Pizza School the Corgi says Imagine a cute corgi (me). Now imagine that corgi (me again) in a backpack. All this and more on ins

I chose C on that basis as well (i.e. on the basis that the uncle's initial letter would be regarded at English common law as an invitation to treat).

In English common law, the uncle's initial letter would be an "invitation to treat", similar to an advertisement or a display of goods in a shop. Is that terminology not used in the United States?
