Your submissions for the 'CookieS' series with Laura Bojanna Edit Challenge !

I really don't know the exact reason, but this months challenge didn't seem to entertain that many - I haven't got that many submissions, so this is going to be a short post. 😁

As you might already know, this months challenge was photos from my latest shoot with Laura Bojanna, which resulted in a two part series; PART I & PART II πŸ”₯πŸ₯΅

The rules were simple: 'You were all given five free raw-files of mine, to process the way you felt the most'. πŸ€“πŸ€ŒπŸ»πŸ”₯

So basically you were all given completely opportunities to edit just the way you wanted. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ₯³ Nothing is wrong - everything is absolutely right! πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»

Enough talk, let's just head straight into your submissions:

Patreon Supporter Quinzin aka Dennis:

As he is the only one submitting this month, let's go through all three of his creative solutions! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ€©

We start out with this very interesting one!! πŸ₯³

Not only did Dennis play with the overall toning of the image, he took some creative freedom and made it way more artsy than I did.  πŸ€©
He mirrored the image horizontally and created a captivating effect. It reminds me of the intro to the Netflix series "DARK". πŸ€ͺ The colors has been desaturated and darkened a bit and I REALLY like the dark dark red-ish tones he hit. 🀌🏻 That is sublime and it fits the overall image perfectally.
The colors on my original shot, was much brighter and filled with contrasts - but twisting it all in this direction, gives it a very mysterious look, which I personally likes. β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘πŸ»

Superb submission and the perfect example of what this is all about!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

This one is much more similar to my original photo, than the previous submission. 😁

The dark tones has been darkened/turned down even more, adding more contrast to the overall vibe. Maybe, I wouldn't have done it this much, because I think it's a shame when the texture of stuff disappears - for example in the bunny ears, it almost looks like a blackhole with no content/texture in it. πŸ˜…
Overall it's interesting tho, to see you head the complete opposite direction than I did. πŸ‘πŸ»

Finally we have this third and last submission from Dennis. ☺️

This time around he went for a gritty black / white vibe, a tone which actually works okay in my opinion, however when working with gritty stuff like this, you REALLY need to be aware of the models face and skin texture, because it can result in some unfortunate looks. πŸ˜…

It seems Dennis kept the contrast on a minimum, which is a good thing, I think. The 'Clarity' is bumped up a bit tho, which makes up for an interesting fine balanced look. πŸ‘πŸ»
The image has been cropped a bit and it looks to me, correct me if I'm wrong, that the background has been blurred furthermore? Is that correct, Dennis? πŸ˜πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
Cropping images can be a very effective way of concentrating everything or isolation unimportant stuff - however, I do miss the space at the sides of her boots which the original photo included. ☺️ It is needed to create some sort of 'balance' in the image - because when looking at this submission, it somehow gets very....how to say it....heavy? πŸ˜† Like, the model looks like one massive chunk of person, because we can't see the minor space on both sides, you get me? πŸ˜…πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

THAT WAS IT, FRIENDS! πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Thanks for participating in this fun little game. ☺️ There will be many more in the future, so stay tuned, since the raw-files are timed exclusives for PREMIUM*. (*Afterwards they are only available for Tier 3 supporters)

To all of you who wrote me telling that you were worried of others looking at your submissions; Don't be. β˜ΊοΈπŸ–€ It's super fine to be totally new in the game and just using this as a practice to get better, due to the feedback. That's what this is all about. ☺️

NEXT CHALLENGE WILL BEGIN ON FRIDAY THE 9TH OF FEBRUARY 2024 and consist of photos from all the different parts of my massive PREMIUM shoot from Lisbon, Portugal with Trine Lasson. πŸ˜…πŸ€“

As you can see it begins a little later in the month than usually - but the deadline is still th 25th of February.

All submissions shall be send to: mikkel.laumann@gmail.com

Now, let me know in a comment what you think about all the wonderful submissions or maybe get inspired to join for the next round! πŸ₯³πŸ‘‡πŸ»
