Awesome podcast! I just discovered Cookie Hood’s incredible story from another podcast. I’m just now learning about what happened in the 80’s in Nicaragua, because I was just a kid when all that stuff happened and I never really understood what went down. Im from New Orleans also, and it’s cool to know that there’s a fucking badass warrior (who happens to be a WOMAN) from right here in NOLA. Nothing but respect and admiration for her. I’m hoping to hear more from Cookie’s podcast about her life story and her experiences as a journalist. Very cool stuff! 🙌🏼🫶🏼🙌🏼
