NBC News revealed that Brett Kavanaugh and his team were reaching out to Ramirez's friends to issue statements of support regarding her allegations well before the New Yorker published their story detailing her allegations. Kavanaugh & co did this through text messages. He testified to Congress that the first time he heard of these allegations was when the New Yorker published it (or that's what he was implying). If these text messages exist and are legitimate, could this provide evidence of perjury? If he is confirmed, could he still lose his law license (even though SCJs don't need to be licensed) for lying under oath?
