Singapore: Fahmi
Added 2024-05-12 13:00:04 +0000 UTCThirty-four year old Fahmi and I had connected not too long ago via Instagram, in the hopes of having a photoshoot together upon my return. This series of behind-the-scenes shots is actually from our second shoot - 3 days after our first.
Fahmi and I immediately hit it off. He's a total beefcake, a lot of fun to be around - lots of laughs and jokes and also really good at talking about the heavy and more serious things. We met in person last November, but have stayed in regular contact since and he's come to be a great friend. Soon after this shoot, I left Singapore for Malaysia. From there, I headed to Bangkok for a month or so and once there, got to catch up with Fahmi again, as he was in town for a few days. What's more, we have our 3rd shoot planned for the end of this month (May - I'm headed back!).
We did this particular shoot at my favorite place in Singapore - the beautiful, crumbling and dilapidated Istana Woodneuk, an abandoned former residence/villa/mansion of the royal family of Johor, Malaysia. For some of you serious subscribers, you may recognize the location from my book, which featured a couple shoots I did here several years ago.
Also, I should note that these images are actually video stills I edited. 99% of the time I do the shoots privately now - just me and the model. I usually run my phone on a tripod to get videos of the shoots, hence these video stills, which I then grab and edit. Needless to say a lot of fun things can be caught on video 😂
