Malaysia: Kith

I'm still in the midst of my travels and as you probably could guess - I'm shooting and exploring a lot more than I'm editing and posting! Some downtime is in the works, however and I'll do my best to make full use of it π
So here's Kith. Thirty-three year old Kith is a bodybuilder and an accomplished musician and teacher. He's got the physique of a violin player, don't you think? πHe and I have been connected via Instagram and Facebook for several years - I think we first connected around 2016 or so. We'd occasionally chat, but never too much and never really got to know each other much - until I arrived here in Malaysia. In fact, my trip here was only intended to be 1-2 weeks, but because of him I extended another week - so 3 total.
We hit it off in person once we met, of course. Randomly - our first face to face was when he asked me to be his 'date' to his friend's wedding here. Awkwardly, but curiously I accepted and the rest was a whirlwind. We managed to squeeze in a little shoot after the wedding and then many times since we've shot. We've done shoots around Kuala Lumpur, as well as in other states and cities when we did a weekend road-trip away. In addition, for the past week I had been staying out in the suburbs with him and we did some shooting out there as well, naturally. To summarize - LOTS of Kith to come!
In the meantime, here are some shots from our second day of shooting - this series is from the Botanic Gardens in KL - just before dusk when the mosquitoes were in full force. Yikes!
